When You Pledge, You Make It Happen!

Many annual members join in response to an SOPTV on-air pledge drive. On-air drives are our most effective way of reaching viewers who have yet to become supporting members.

Some viewers think of making a pledge as their way of applauding their favorite SOPTV programs. You can make a pledge to SOPTV by calling 541-779-0808 or 800-888-1847 or using our online pledge form.

Once you've joined SOPTV by making an on-air pledge, the most cost-effective way for you to renew your annual membership is by using our online renewal form or by responding to one of our renewal reminder notices.

It's Easy To Renew Your Annual SOPTV Membership

What does your annual membership make possible? Everything.

Television advertising demands program producers use sensationalism, insert breaks, and eliminate program content to deliver the greatest number of people (eyeballs) to advertisers' messages.

Viewers describe SOPTV programming as simply sensational. Programming that educates, enlightens, inspires, and entertains. Because SOPTV's programming doesn't contain commercial interruptions, one hour of SOPTV's programming contains 30% more content than commercial television services.

How Much Should I Contribute To SOPTV?

That will always be your decision. The most important thing is to get involved and help support SOPTV at an amount that you are comfortable with. We have many students and individuals with fixed incomes among our members. Kids have sold lemonade and donated quarters, dimes, and nickels to support children's programming!

Some members have left a bequest in their WILL to support SOPTV. Some public television stations have been fortunate to receive bequests worth millions of dollars. Such a gift would ensure SOPTV would continue to serve the needs of southern Oregon for decades to come!

If you share our passion for what's possible with a locally-owned and operated public television station... If you believe our programming and local outreach activities improve the quality of life in our community...we ask that you be as generous as possible and consider giving an amount similar to what you contribute to other nonprofits you consider to be personal priorities.

Be a Member for $45 or more

Without advertising or subscription revenues, SOPTV depends on community support. Great programming doesn't come cheap. Yes, SOPTV makes its service freely available so that the entire community benefits from the programming, but it does need annual support to sustain the quality. It takes only a few viewers to join and/or renew at the basic membership level to fund an entire hour of programming on SOPTV. They help fund their favorite programs and make them available to those who are unable to contribute.

Basic membership includes a year's subscription to our monthly membership magazine, Inside SOPTV. with behind-the-scenes stories and schedules for our three programming services.

SOPTV MEMBERCARD -- Membership $75

At the $75 level and above, SOPTV members have the option of securing an SOPTV MemberCard -- offering two-for-one dining at some of the Valley's finest restaurants. Thanks to the support of participating restaurants and cafés in the SOPTV viewing area, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner and your companion can dine at no extra cost!

Visit the MemberCard benefits site to learn of new participating restaurants throughout southern Oregon and northern California, including restaurants in Ashland, Medford, Grants Pass, Roseburg, Klamath Falls, and other communities.

Membership also includes the membership magazine, Inside SOPTV.

Double Your Contribution!

You may be able to have your gift matched! Many employers offer to match employee and retiree contributions to nonprofit cultural and educational organizations like SOPTV.

Patron Society -- $500 and Above

Members of the Patron Society are recognized as Southern Oregon Public Television's most generous contributors. You'll enjoy participating in our Salon Series which includes special events and exclusive educational opportunities only available to members of the Society as well as private screenings and behind the scenes tours of the studio. Get to know others who share your passion for SOPTV and meet members of the staff and Board of Directors.

Membership also brings you 12 issues of the Inside SOPTV members guide and the new MemberCard, the two-for-one dining benefit offered by area restaurants and cafes.

Include A Bequest To SOPTV In Your Last Will & Testament
