CORPORATE SUPPORT MANAGER

Status: Full-time, exempt, regular status position

Position Summary

SOPTV is seeking an individual to manage its local underwriting and corporate sales activities. This position is responsible for securing underwriting sponsorship support from the corporate community and managing client accounts through the full sales cycle from initial contact to renewal. S/he must perform these underwriting activities in a manner that benefits SOPTV and the community we serve. Screening begins 07/10/08.

Working Conditions

Typical office environment which includes extended periods of sitting at a desk and using a computer. Requires flexible working hours and may involve frequent regional travel.

Qualifications

• Required:
  • Successful professional sales experience
  • Proven ability to initiate, build, and maintain successful business relationships with a large number of clients
  • Strong communication skills including diplomacy, negotiating, writing correspondence, and oral presentations to individuals and groups
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and contact management software such as ACT!
  • Ability to work under pressure on a number of simultaneous projects
  • Ability to project a professional demeanor and be successful working in a team environment
  • Valid driver's license
• Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing or related field
  • Sales experience in media and/or non-profit environment, selling an intangible service
